Also, can you break a lease because of bats?
Unless the bats are actually in the livable portion of the house (such as if they are only in the attic) it is questionable if you can even break the lease because of habitability issues. I would call the local building officials/health department and invite them to inspect.
Likewise, where do bats hide in apartments? Bat in my apartmentThey prefer to live in dry, dark places, such as caves, old mine shafts and rocky overhangs. If places like this are scarce, the animals will look to man-made structures to set up a colony. The attic spaces of homes are an ideal place for them to take up residence.
Keeping this in view, how do I get a bat out of my apartment?
If the bat is still flying, open a window and the screen behind it. Close all the doors. If it is night, stay in the room and sit on the floor. The bat will fly in circles until it echolocates the open window, at which point it will fly out.
Can bats get in walls?
You've Heard Bats Fluttering in Your WallsBats tend to be very quiet mammals. They are nocturnal but leave their roost at night to feed. You will probably only hear bats if they are living in your walls and they get disturbed by a slamming door or some other loud noise.
